Three Decades,
One Calling
From rural Kakatpur to SCB and VSS Medical Colleges, from Sri Sathya Sai Institute to Director of Cardiology for Odisha — a journey of growth, sacrifice and selfless service.
A Life in Service
Every milestone in Dr. Dash's career has been defined not by ambition alone, but by a deepening commitment to patients, students, and the institutions he serves.
Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences
The institution where Dr. Dash spent 23 years is among the most unique in India — a fully charitable hospital where every service, including the most complex cardiac interventions, is provided completely free of charge.
Charitable Mission
SSSIHMS provides specialised medical care free of cost to serve the poorest of the poor. Dr. Dash joined in 1996 and, after the Whitefield hospital inauguration in 2001, led Cardiology in this spirit of service — treating patients from Odisha and many other states without financial burden.
Academic Excellence
Accredited by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for DNB training. Under Dr. Dash's mentorship, the department produced five gold medalists: Dr. Keshav Murthy (2005), Dr. Deepak Krishnamurthy (2006), Dr. Rohit Dixit (2012), Dr. Booma S (2017), and Dr. Ravi Kachhela (2018). He remains listed as honorary faculty in cardiology at SSSIHMS Whitefield.
Clinical Scope
One of India's leading institutions for adult and pediatric cardiac interventions. Three catheterization labs (2 Cardiac, 1 Bi-Plane Neuro). Comprehensive range from complex interventional procedures to open-heart surgery — all delivered free.
CSI Recognition
The department has received multiple Best Oral Abstract, Best Poster, and Original Research Awards at Cardiological Society of India (CSI) conferences from 2013 to 2025. Dr. Dash personally received the Excellent Contribution Award from CSI Bangalore Chapter in 2019.
