The Impact That Multiplies
Beyond his own clinical work, Dr. Dash's greatest legacy may be the doctors he has trained and the communities he has served — creating a ripple effect that will save lives long after any single intervention.
Teacher of Teachers
Trained more than 30 postgraduate cardiology students including five gold medalists; guided about 500 examination-going PG cardiology students across India; and mentored 100+ students in cardiology and non-coronary intervention — knowledge multiplying through generations of doctors.
Free Mega Cardiac Camps
More than 45 free mega cardiac health camps across approximately six states — Odisha, Shimla region, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka — through Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation and partners. Nearly two lakh patients received consultation and guidance.
DEIC–RBSK Children's Screening
Under the Government of Odisha's RBSK Scheme, Dr. Dash screens children for congenital cardiac conditions and dedicates Saturdays for pediatric cardiac consultation — ensuring birth defects are caught early and treated before they become life-threatening.
Covid Warrior
Throughout the Covid period he continued active hospital duty even while his wife, late Dr. Puspa Kumari Devi, was on her deathbed due to Covid infection and later passed away. He was awarded as a Covid warrior for selfless service amid personal grief.
"The people from remote areas throng upon for the treatment. The patients have strong faith in the doctor."— From Dr. Dash's Padma Shri Nomination
