~90,000 interventions. 5 gold medalists. Free camps across 10 states. 35 years of equal care for all. The numbers speak — but the stories behind them speak louder.
Beyond his own clinical work, Dr. Dash's greatest legacy may be the doctors he has trained and the communities he has served — creating a ripple effect that will save lives long after any single intervention.
Five of Dr. Dash's students at SSSIHMS Whitefield achieved gold medals in their final DNB Cardiology examination — the highest mark of academic excellence in postgraduate medical training. These graduates now serve patients across India.
Conducted free cardiac camps across West Bengal, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and multiple districts of Odisha — screening, diagnosing, and treating patients who would otherwise never access specialist care.
Under the Government of Odisha's RBSK Scheme, Dr. Dash screens children for congenital cardiac conditions through District Early Intervention Centres — ensuring that birth defects are caught early and treated before they become life-threatening.
"The people from remote areas throng upon for the treatment. The patients have strong faith in the doctor."— From Dr. Dash's Padma Shri Nomination
